Resource Person (Teaching) in Bengali

Essential:

The minimum qualifications/criteria for the engagement of resource persons are as follows:

  • Master of Arts in Bengali language/literature or MA in Linguistics with proven/verifiable educational qualification of having studied the concerned language up to higher secondary or above with UGC NET/JRF qualification or relevant equivalent State Level Qualification Test for Lectureship in Colleges/Universities or Ph.D. in the concerned language/literature or linguistics.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and skills (LSRW) at least in two Indian languages.
  • Experience in teaching the Bengali language at the diploma/undergraduate/postgraduate level for a minimum of two semesters/one year.
  • A fair educational/professional background in linguistics.
  • A fair and proven exposure to the tools/techniques/methods/platforms used in online teaching.
  • A fair exposure to the online and open-access resources on Indian languages.

Remuneration:

  • The Resource Person will be engaged on a Rs.1,500/- working day honorarium basis restricted to a maximum of Rs.39, 000/- per month. This honorarium will be paid on a monthly basis.
  • The resource persons are usually engaged for five days a week. However, the engagement days per week may decrease or increase at the discretion of competent authorities, and therefore the actual amount of honorarium may vary each month.

Period of engagement:

  • The Resource Person is usually engaged for a period of 10 months in a year. However, the engagement period may decrease or increase at the discretion of the competent authorities as per the need of the Centre/Programme.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The engagement is purely on a temporary basis. The engaged persons will not have any claim for any regular appointment.
  • The position mentioned above is merely indicative in nature. The number of position may be increased or decreased at the discretion of the competent authorities.
  • The Resource Persons will be engaged on a full-time basis with the Centre/Institute, and therefore the engaged Resource Persons shall not be allowed to take up another teaching/professional/project or any other working assignment anywhere else.
  • If required, the competent authorities may relocate the Resource Person to a different Centre/Institute.
  • The competent authority may relax the qualification/criteria in case the candidate is otherwise found suitable.
